Abby invited to attend the 2010 Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The organization, which is dedicated to recognizing the work and lives of those composers and lyricists who create popular music around the world, returns for its highly anticipated 41st annual induction and awards dinner, scheduled for Thursday, June 17 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Abby will be showcasing at the Florida Music festival which was named one of the 'Top Music Festivals' by SPIN Magazine. Over the course of nine years the FMF Conference and Industry Panels has taken pride in bringing together the top music business executives with the budding artists and aspiring music entrepreneurs. Past Keynotes and speakers include John Janick (Fueled By Ramen CEO: Fallout Boy/Less Than Jake), Steve Robertson (Atlantic Records VP: Paramore/Shinedown),Richard Reines (Drive Thru Records CEO: Something Corporate/Goodbye Hello), Rodney Jerkins (Producer: Lady GaGa, Beyonce), Richard Gottherer (Founder: Orchard Digital Distribution/Sire Records) and many other music industry tastemakers. Former student Attendees have gained access, and in turn employment with companies like CMJ (College Music Journal), William Morris Agency, Interscope Records, Atlantic Records and more.
Abby is currently working with renowned producer Adam Blackstone on her upcoming EP. Adam's producing credits include Jill Scott, Joss Stone, Usher, The Roots, Al Green, and Diane Birch to name a few. As a bassist, he's also toured with top artists including Janet Jackson, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Jill Scott. Abby is thrilled to be writing and producing with Adam and can't wait to share the finished album with you!
